Papel.
Hasta aquí a su hermano, nacido del oro, como acompañante
la Tritonia se ofreció; después, circundada de una cóncava nube, Serifon
abandonó, a diestra Citnos y Gíaros dejados,
y por donde sobre el ponto el camino parecía el más breve, a Tebas
y el virgíneo Helicón acude; monte que, cuando alcanzó,
en él se apostó y así se dirigió a sus doctas hermanas:
“La fama de un nuevo manantial ha arribado hasta nuestros oídos,
el que la dura pezuña del alado hijo de Medusa ha quebrado.
Él la causa de mi camino: he querido el admirable hecho
contemplar; lo vi a él de la materna sangre nacer.”

Through all these mighty deeds Pallas, Minerva, had availed to guide her gold-begotten brother.
Now she sped, surrounded in a cloud, from Seriphus, while Cynthus on the right,
and Gyarus far faded from her view.
And where a path, high over the deep sea, leads the near way, she winged the air for Thebes,
and Helicon haunt of the Virgin Nine. High on that mount she stayed her flight,
and with these words bespoke those well-taught sisters;
“Fame has given to me the knowledge of a new-made fountain—gift of Pegasus,
that fleet steed, from the blood of dread Medusa sprung—it opened when his hard hoof struck the ground.
—It is the cause that brought me.—For my longing to have seen this fount, miraculous and wonderful,
grows not the less in that myself did see the swift steed, nascent from maternal blood.”

Son cabezas de héroes, basadas en esta época de transición histórica, del declive de la Grecia clásica al ascenso del imperio romano y son representadas desde una actualidad también transicional.

These heads are inspired by sculptural portraits of the Hellenistic period.
They are heads of heroes, based on this period of historical transition of the decline of the classical Greece to the rise of the Roman Empire, and they are represented from an also transitional today.
